How do I go about choosing a niche?

The process of choosing a specific niche involves considering asking yourself the following:
1. Do the products/services fall within an "evergreen" niche?
You want to make sure that your target audience is interested in your promotional products/services all year around. You do NOT want to promote seasonal or trendy products/services.
2. What am I interested in?
It is important that you are interested in the offers your are promoting. It will be very beneficial for you to enjoy the products/services yourself so that you can ensure you are providing "value" to your customers. You will likely need to provide advice on the offers you are promoting and, therefore, it behooves you to select a niche that you have some expertise in (or are willing to conduct research on day in and day out).
3. Is the scope to broad or too narrow?
You need to ensure that your niche selection is NOT:
i) too broad (e.g. home and kitchen)
OR
ii) too narrow (e.g. forks).
You want to find a good middle ground (e.g. kitchen utensils). This way, you will not fail to get ranked for broad key terms and or long tailed terms.
A great free tool you can use to get niche ideas is UberSuggest.
